Mission Statement:

To provide an efficient and impartial hearing process while carrying out the board’s statutory mandate to hear and review disciplinary appeals and whistleblower complaints filed by state employees, former state employees, and other individuals referenced in the statute.

Description:

The Personnel Board is responsible for hearing and reviewing, via an administrative hearing process, (a) appeals filed by permanent status state employees who have been dismissed from state service, suspended for more than 40 working hours, or demoted resulting from disciplinary action; and (b) complaints filed under the whistleblower statute.

 

 

Statement of Location Where All Notices of the Meetings of the State Personnel Board Will Be Posted

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, the State Personnel Board hereby states that all notices of the meetings of the State Personnel Board and any of its committees and

subcommittees will be posted in the first floor lobby and second floor lobby of the State Office Building located at 1400 West Washington Street, Phoenix, Arizona.  Both locations are open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except legal holidays.  Such notices will indicate the date, time, and place of the meeting and will include an agenda or information concerning the manner in which the public may obtain an agenda for the meeting

Office Closures: The Personnel Board office will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2012 to observe Martin Luther King Day. We will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17th. The office will also be closed on Monday, February 20, 2012 for Presidents' Day and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012.  Thank you for your patience.
